Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 本片改编自同名漫画，讲述了以当红年轻演员的身分开始迈向明星之路的柊木昴（八木勇征 饰），以及他青梅竹马的女高中生天野千明（福本莉子 饰），有着“明星和素人”这种令人着急的关系的超王道爱情故事。

 卢（加里·库柏 Gary Cooper 饰）出生在一个贫困的家庭之中，虽然他对于棒球这项运动有着狂热的爱好，但是母亲却希望他能够成为一名建筑师，因为在母亲的观念里，建筑师才能赚大钱。卢通过不懈的努力考进了哥伦比亚大学念书，同时也没有放弃自己的棒球梦想。在一次校级比赛中，卢的全垒打让他受到了球队经纪人的注意，与此同时，卢的母亲患上了绝症急需一笔医药费，为了拯救母亲，同时也为了自己的梦想，卢在20岁那一年签约成为了洋基队的职业球员。头两年，卢在球队里的事业并不顺利，一直都是坐冷板凳的份，直到1925年，卢在赛场上的优秀表现渐渐吸引了球迷们的目光，两年之后，卢一跃成为了球队里最有价值的球员。

影片改编自《下妻物语》等经典作品的原作---嶽本稔明的同名小说。故事讲述了得知女友一周后就要死亡的“我”和“她”的青春物语。
